What happens when you move your family from living in a major city to your fifth generation family farm? You begin with a few cows to keep the pastures open and launch a beef CSA to buy the hay for the cows that keep the pasture open, then add some chickens to eat the bugs that live in the beams in the barn in the pasture that is kept open by the cows fed the hay bought with the CSA funds and end up. . . .with a dash of hope, a pound of pain, a lot of laughs, and a smattering of adventure.
